Jean Claude Pick (Born 1930) is the
President and founder of Cofinance Group SA
in Luxembourg and its French subsidiary
Cofinance SAS. Mr. Pick is also Chief
Executive Officer and founder of Cofinance Group SA’s United States subsidiary
Cofinance Inc.
Presently a Swiss resident, Mr. Pick is
a graduate of École des Mines, one of the
most prominent engineering schools in France.
For 20 years following graduation Mr. Pick
held a position in the consulting group of
Bank Paribas during which time he was
escalated to the title of International
Director advising clients in matters of
management and city planning. His clients
included the World Bank, United Nations,
City of Paris and the City of Jerusalem,
among others.
In 1973, Mr. Pick formed a private consulting
group marking his entry into real estate
investment and development. He eventually
formed Cofinance SAS in Paris, France and
grew its holdings to include hotels, office
buildings, shopping centers, retirement
communities and a full-service management
company. In 1983, Mr. Pick began investing in
the United States through Cofinance Inc. as
part of a global diversification strategy.
Cofinance Inc.’s business strategy has
evolved into a broadly-based entrepreneurial
real estate investment approach focused on
identifying and acquiring well located
properties that are affected by non-real
estate factors and complex situations,
define a focused plan to resolve such
factors and situations, and execute the
plan. Cofinance SAS and Cofinance Inc. have
been involved in projects with an aggregate
value of over $2 billion.
In 2006, Mr. Pick formed Cofinance Group SA
which holds his interest in Cofinance SAS
and Cofinance Inc. under an initiative to
brand the Cofinance name globally and expand
into new markets.
